Birth Matters Antenatal classes
Expecting a baby is one of the most exciting yet often confusing and sometimes stressful times for a pregnant woman and her partner. Being able to share your concerns, ask questions and find solutions in the company of other like-minded couples going through the same experience can be really helpful. Finding out how to be an effective birth supporter, what is likely to happen during the birth, and the immediate weeks following delivery can really boost a couple's confidence and help embrace the process of becoming parents. Birth Matters antenatal classes are designed with these things in mind.
Research has shown that couples who attend antenatal classes are more likely to participate in the active birth of their baby, feel empowered, and able to make informed choices about their care during labour and birth of their baby.
The course is held on a Saturday from 10am till 3pm and three Thursday evenings from 7.30- 9.30 in a comfortable and relaxed environment. There is usually one course held every month. The best time for couples to attend is in the third trimester of the pregnancy to ensure what you learn on the course is fresh just prior to labour. The location of the classes is East Northamptonshire.
The cost of the course is £110.00 per couple.
